API requests and logs
When pages load live data, the browser may request our server host functions for exchange rates, official travel advisories, air quality, World Bank environment data, tax feeds, and recent news. Netlify and upstream providers may process standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent, request time, requested endpoint, and error logs.
Google Maps JavaScript loads from Google when the map is used. Google may receive browser and request information under its own terms and privacy policy. Air quality requests run through the Netlify proxy with destination coordinates and a destination name.
Third-party providers
Our site uses or may make requests through Netlify, Google Maps, Google Air Quality API, exchangerate.host, Frankfurter, U.S. State Department advisory data, UK FCDO data, World Bank data, WhereNext tax data, The News API, SendGrid, and Google Workspace. These providers operate under their own policies.
How the data is used
API request data is used to operate, secure, debug, and improve the site. HavenScout does not sell contact form submissions. The data you enter through the site stays local to you, and uses the information in formulas embedded in the website. Email requests through the contact form are used to respond to data corrections, bug reports, business questions, and general feedback. Users should never send personal information to us. We do not want it.
Updates
This website is still in development and is updated often. If you do not see something or notice something, we would love to hear from you about HavenScout and what you think of the website.
